  <p>Information: Mrs. Velma B. Hays, 77, of Grand Rapids, Michigan, died Sunday afternoon, Feb. 11, 1990, at Metropolitan Hospital.  She was formerly of Given, a daughter of the late Mance and Oda Casto.  She was a 30-year member of the Emmanuel Baptist Church.  She was proceded in death by her husband, Roy E. Hays.  She is survived by her children, Janet Taylor of Cedar Springs, Sara Brown of Lowell, Betty Czehowski of Farmington Hills, Michigan; seven grandchildren; two sisters, Zula Harrison of Dunbar and Beulah Austin of Given.  Funeral services were held Wednesday, Feb. 14, 1:30 p.m. with the Rev. Floyd E. Hughes of Emmanuel Baptist Church officiating.  Interment was at Kent Memorial Gardens.</p>
