  <p>Information:               John Silas HAYNES was born near Sissonville Dec. 10, 1875 and departed this life Nov. 12, 1947, at the age of 71 years, 11 months and 11 days.  He was united in marriage to Orie BURGESS of Charleston in 1894.  His companion preceded him in death on Nov. 23, 1919.  To this union were born five sons, Albert HAYNES of Mt. Pleasant, ........, Clyde HAYNES of Sandyville, Howard of Liberty, Alvie of Saginaw, Michigan, and John of Charleston; two (half) brothers, William Elliott HAYNES of near Kenna and French Alias HAYNES of Kanawha Two mile and Letha THOMPSON of Walton and Miss Amanda HAYNES of Falling Rock, 36 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.                  Funeral services were held with Hess Funeral Home of Harper in charge from the Advent Christian Church in Clendenin and the body was laid to rest in the KOONTZ Cemetery at Clendenin.  Written by Maxine HAYNES.  (from the obit collection of Betty Kessel McIntyre)   </p>
