Information: Gladys A. Haynes, 71, of Shasta Drive, Charleston, died Wednesday, May 6, 1987, in Memorial Division, CAMC, after a long illness.  She and her husband, Vernon N., owned the Haynes Hardware on Sissonville Road.  She was a member of the Northside Church of the Nazarene, was on the board and was a church steward.  She was a lifelong resident of Kanawha County.  Also surviving:  daughter, Mary Lou Holmes of Charleston; sister, Edith King of Dunbar; grandchildren, Jackie Coon of Kenna, Vicki Edens and Terry K. Holmes, of Charleston; three great-grandchildren.  Service was Saturday at Northside Church of the Nazarene with the Rev. Gary Hayes, the Rev. Bud Prentice and the Rev. Ray Whiteman officiating.  Entombment was in Floral Hills Garden of Memories, Pocatalico.
