Information: Clovis Marion Haynes, 76, of Charleston, died April 29 at St. Francis Hospital, Charleston, after a long illness. He was a retired employee of Gravely Tractor and a Protestant. Surviving: wife, Wavie Odell Haynes; daughters, Maxine Pensa, Dorothy Noble and Jean Church, all of Chicago, Ill., Evelyn Crowder of Wonder Lake, Ill., Ruth Beane of Sissonville, Mary Yost of Williamstown; sons, Joe Haynes and Jackie L.P. Haynes, both of Canton, Ohio, Johnny and Buddy Haynes, both of Gay, Keith Haynes of Charleston; sisters, Ruby Spinks of Ripley, Myrtle Simmons and Bertha Hale, both of Ashtabula, Ohio; brothers, Bill of Charleston and Clovia of St. Petersburg, Fla.; 34 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren. Services were May 1 at Fairplain Union Church with the Rev. Allen Stewart officiating. Burial was in Fairplain Cemetery. Long-Fisher Funeral Home, Charleston, was in charge of arrangements.
