Information: Clay Edward Haynes, 77, of Sandyville, a loving fater and grandfather, went home to be with the Lord on November 30, 2011 at Charleston Memorial Hospital following a long illness.  He was born August 8, 1934 at Sandyville, a son of the late Clyde F. and Cozie A. Randolph Haynes.  He was a retired Superintendent with Collier Construction and a member of the IBEW.  He enjoyed everything associated with farming, including livestock and putting up hay.  He obtained the Degree of Master Mason while living in Illinois and attended Lodge #106 in Rockport.  Mr. Haynes enjoyed hunting, fishing and boating and was a member of Bassmasters, the Archers Association and the National Rifle Association.  He was a Christian and a member of the Grace Gospel Baptist Church.      He is survived by the mother of his children, Wanda Grandon Haynes; his children, Scheral (Darrell) Hill of Wirt County, Rodney (Janie) Haynes of Wirt County, Carlene (Robert) Workman of Sandyville, Alan Haynes of Sandyville and Robin (Rodney) Groves of Sandyville; brother, Dorsel Haynes of Sandyville and sister, Naomi Butler of Virginia.  Also survived by 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.  Funeral services were at the Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley, with Pastor Shannon Skeen officiating.  Burial was in the Independence Cemetery, Sandyville.
