Information: Doyle Richard Hayes, 53, of Route 2, Ravenswood, died Friday after suffering a heart attack. He was born in Kanawha County, a son of the late Burl and Clara Thompson Hayes. He was a Protestant by faith. He had been employed by Kaiser Aluminum for 24 years. He was a member of VFW and a veteran of the Korean War. He is survived by his wife, Dorma Faye Igo Hayes; two daughters, Patricia Hayes Hays of Lexington, Ky., and Crystal R. Hayes at home; one son, First Lt. Doyle R. Hayes Jr. of Indian Springs, Nev.; one brother, Roy Hayes of Ashtabula, O.; one half brother, Hollie Runion of Charleston; one sister, Betty Strickland of Hopewell, VA.; two half sisters, Marie Arnold of Akron, O., Rebecca Smith of Front Royal, Va.; one grandchild, Emily Paige Hays. Services were held Monday at Straight-Tucker Funeral Home with Rev. James Dale officiating. Burial was in Jackson Memory Garden, Cottageville.
