Information: RIPLEY - Myrel L. Haught, 90, of Ripley passed away January 1, 2011 at Eldercare of West Virginia following a long illness.  He was born May 5, 1920 at Monongalia County, the oldest of 12 children of the late Zeb and Flossie Efaw Haught.  He was an Army veteran of World War II.  He retired from Kaiser Aluminum with 25 years of service, where he worked in Finishing.  He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and the Shriners and was a member and supporter of the Ripley Volunteer Fire Department.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Rebecca J. (Barr) Haught; a brother, Billy Haught; and sisters, Dorothy Mae Chiater, Mary Jo Weaver, and Joyce Haught.  He is survived by his daughters, Jennie Frashier and Merlene Hayes both of Ripley; brothers, Jimmy and Ike Haught, both of Fairview; sisters, Marion Sachetti of Fairmont, Norma Jean Ammons of Wadestown, Arlene Donaldson of Carmichael PA, Coleen Pierce of Blacksville and Judy Tucker of Rivesville.  Also survived by five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren and brothers and sisters-in-law and nieces and nephews.  Funeral service will be 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 4, 2011 at the Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley with John Gunther officiating.  Burial, with military rites provided by American Legion Post 107 of Ripley, will be in the Fariplain Cemetery.  Friends may call from noon until the time of the service on (3PM) Tuesday at the funeral home.  Memorial donations may be made to the Ripley Volunteer Fire Department. The family would like to thank Eldercare, Jackson General Hospital, and Dr. John Snyder for the loving care they provided to Myrel during his illness.
