Information: An illness which lasted eigthteen months proved fatal to Mrs. J.G.Hartman at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Oliver D. Kessel, in Ripley late Tuesday evening. She was 76 years old. In February, 1937 Mrs. Hartman suffered a stroke of paralysis and was an invalid for the remainder of her life. During the past several days her condition had been described as serious and death did not come as a shock to the family and friends. She had made her home with Mr. and Mrs Kessel for a number of years. The funeral services will be held from the Kessel home at ten-thirty o'clock Friday morning and the body will then be taken to Elkins where burial will be held late Friday afternoon. Surviving are the following children: A.C. Hartman, of Buckhannon; Clark Hartman, of Buckhannon; Frank Harman, of Newark, New Jersey; Fred Graham, of St. Albans; Mrs. Margaret Coffman, of Charleston; Mrs. Nelle Brambaugh, of Morgantown; and Mrs. Oliver D. Kessel, of Ripley.
