Information: DEATH CLAIMS AGED FARMER-""UNCLE HENRY' HARTLEY IS TAKEN BY DEATH ON MONDAY- Henry Tomlinson Hartley was born September 14, 1864. Departed this life July 29, 1946, age 81 years, 10 months and 15 days.  Laurina, his wife, preceded him in death 18 days.  He was born in Jackson county on the farm where he spent most of his life and as his occupation was farming he was one of the prosperous farmers of Jackson county in his days of activity.  Retiring from the farm about 15 years ago, moving to Cottageville, W. Va. to his home that he had purchased and there spent most of his time before his departure from this life.  He was a native of Jackson county and a son of Thomas and Lydia Hartley, pioneer residents of that section of the county. He was a member of the United Brethren church and was widely known throughout the county for years as ""Uncle Hen"" Hartley.  He is survived by six children, five daughters and one son, namely, Lucy, at home, Mrs. C. E. Stahlman of Spencer, Mrs. Herbert Lloyd of Tiffin, Ohio, Ruth and Grace of Akron, Ohio, John, who resides on the old home farm.  Also one brother, Stephen A. Hartley of Cottageville, Rte 1.  Eleven grandchildren and nieces and nephews and a host of friends are also left to survive him. In his younger life he was a member of the United Brethren Church at Antioch, on the Cottageville charge.
