Information: 8/5/64 Okel D. Harrison, Ripley died Sunday night in the Veterans Hospital at Clarksburg following a long illness, the date being the 53d anniversary of his birthday, Aug. 2, 1911. He was born at Goldtown, Jackson County, the son of Hugh and the late Mary Miller Harrison, and was a veteran of World War II. Surviving in addition to his father are two daughters, Mrs. Janet Braniff of Maryland and Yolinda Harrison of New Martinsville; a brother, Manford Harrison of Kenna; a step-sister, Darlena Cunningham of Kenna, and his stepmother, Mrs. Hugh Harrison of Kenna. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. today from the Rock Spring Methodist Church at Goldtown by the Rev. Shirley Hammack. Burial will be in the church cemetery under direction of Parson Funeral Home of Ripley. Friends may call at the funeral home.   8/7/64 Funeral services for Okel D. Harrison, of Ripley, will be held this (Wednesday) afternoon at the Rock Spring Church with Rev. Clifford Miller officiating and burial with the Parsons Funeral directors in charge will be in the church cemetery. Mr. Harrison died Monday at the Veterans Hospital in Clarksburg after a long illness. He was a veteran of World War II. Survivors include his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Harrison of Kenna; two daughters, Mrs. Janet Braniff of Maryland, and Yolinda Harrison of New Martinsville; one brother, Manford Harrison of Kenna, and a sister, Mrs. Darlene Cunningham, also of Kenna.
