Information: 09/14/1972 Funeral services for Dallas Harrison were held Tuesday at the Fairplain United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Vairl Winter officiating. Harrison, 74, of Fairplain, died Saturday at the Jackson General Hospital in Ripley after a short illness. Burial was in Fairplain Cemetery. Born at Given, he was a son of the late O.B. And Dora Parsons Harrison and was a retired farmer and carpenter. He was a member of the Fairplain United Methodist Church. He is survived by six brothers, Otho of Ripley, Russell of Milton, Everett of Pocatalico, Estil of Gainsville, Fla., Ray of Parkersburg, and Floyd of Dunbar; and two sisters, Mrs. W.C. Stalnaker of Given and Mrs. Hattie Waugh of Columbus, Ohio. Parsons Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. 09/29/1972 Dallas Dewy Harrison, son of the late Obediah and Dora Parsons Harrison, was born February 17, 1898; died September 9, 1972, at the age of 74 years, six months. He was preceded in death by his wife, Gay. After retiring from his work in Akron, Ohio, he returned to his farm in his native Jackson County. A devoted Christian and member of the Fairplain Church, he loved nature and enjoyed his work. He had many close friends and was loved and respected by all who knew him. Surviving is one sister, Mrs. Willie Stalnaker; one half-sister, Mrs. Hattie Waugh; brothers, Everett, Otho, Russel, Ray, Estil and Floyd; and several nephews and nieces. He had no children. When darkness is a canopy around and overhead, God does not take away the night He lights the stars instead.
