Information:                 Mrs. Shirley Harrison, owner of Harrison Produce Company, 54, a former resident of Kenna, died in a Charleston hospital Wednesday, a short time after she had been struck by a truck on one of the Capital city streets.  The hospital report was that she died of internal injuries and shock.  She was the former Biddie Mae Koontz and a daughter of John Koontz.  The truck driver, Milford G. Fisher, also of Charleston, told Patrolman Tommy Wilson he was turning from Temple Street into Red Oak street when he felt a jar as if he had struck the curb.  Looking back he saw Mrs. Harrison lying in the street.  Fisher was booked at the City Police Station on a technical charge of manslaughter.  The funeral service was held Friday afternoon at the Shepherd Chapel Church in West Charleston with the Rev. Charles Scragg and Rev. Hobson D. Fisher officiating and the body was brought to the Koontz Cemetery at Kenna for burial.  Surviving are her husband, Shirley Harrison; one daughter, Mrs. Robert Skeen of Charleston; three sons, John and Jack of Charleston and Elwood of South Charleston; her father, John Koontz of Kenna; three brothers, Holland and Bennie of Kenna and Warren of Windy; four sisters, Mrs. Addie Boggess of Given, Mrs. H. B. Parsons of Dunbar, Mrs. Charles Miller of Big Chimney and Mrs. Guy Landfried of Kenna, and two grandchildren.  (Betty Kessel McIntyre obit collection)
