  <p>Information: Janice Carol Harpold, 63, of Ripley, passed away September 24, 2013 at Cabell Huntington Hospital following an extended illness, surrounded by her entire loving family.  She was born November 11, 1949, the daughter of the late Asa and Dorothy McClain Harpold of Gay WV.  Janice was a Ripley High School graduate with the class of 1967.  She was a longtime and dedicated member of Local 5668 and very proud to be a Woman of Steel.  She fought tirelessly for Union rights and a fair and equal workplace.  Most recently Janice was an organizer for the International Union.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Dottie Lou Harpold of Gay.  She is survived by daughters, Staci (Nathan) Donohew and Brandi (Cary) Randolph of Evans; grandchildren, Stephanie, Megan, Nate, Brady, Jade, Maddi, Izzy, and Gatlin; great-grandson, Grayson; brothers, Larry (Enid) Harpold, Phillip (Linda) Harpold and Tim (Tammy) Harpold; sisters, Teresa (Doug) Burchett, Vici (Wayne) Shafer, and Bev (Harry) Crook; numerous nieces and nephews and extended family.  Nothing made Janice happier than to be surrounded by her grandchildren.  She was proud of each and every one of them.  They were her most precious treasures in life.  Funeral services were 11:00 am Monday, September 30, 2013 at Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley, with burial and graveside rites following at the Harpold Cemetery, Gay.  Friends called from 1:00 to 6:00 pm Sunday at the funeral home.  Memories and condolences may be sent to the family by visiting www.waybrightfuneralhome.com.</p>
