Information: RICHARD KEITH HARMON Richard Keith Harmon, 48, of Ripley, died early Tuesday morning at Jackson General Hospital following an extended illness. He was born February 17, 1937, the son of Ezra Harmon of Ripley and the late Mabel Bayer Harmon. He was a graduate of Marshall University and former teacher at Ripley High School. He owned the Richard Harmon Nationwide Insurance Agency of Ripley. Active in community affairs, he served on the Board of Directors of the Ripley Volunteer Fire Dept., and has been treasurer of the department for the past five years. He was a past chairman of the Fourth of July Committee, served on the Zoning Board of Ripley and was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church. Survivors in addition to his father are his wife, Faye Safreed Harmon of Ripley, a teacher in Ripley schools; three daughters, Rennie, Kelly, and Kristin, all at home; one sister, Mrs. Rhondda Galatz of Palatine, Illinois. Services will be held Thursday, 2 p.m., at Calvary United Methodist Church in Ripley with the Rev. David Cox and the Rev. Chris Thompson officiating. Burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the Parsons Funeral Home after 4 p.m. today (Wednesday).
