Information: Miss Maggie Hamrick, 66 years old, died at her home near Mt. Olive last Thursday after an illness of some length.  She was one of the well known residents of that section of the county and had lived there for many years.  The funeral services were held Friday afternoon and the body was brought to the Ripley cemetery for burial.  The following obituary was read at the service.      Miss Maggie Lucinda Hamrick was born at Spencer, Roane county, August 9, 1869 and departed this life June 25, 1936 at her home near Ripley at the age of 66 years, 10 months and 15 days.  She joined the Methodist Episcopal church at Ripley when she was 18 years of age.  She was the daughter of Mark B. and Sarah A. Hamrick, both of whom preceded her in death.  John, Henry, Charles, Catherine, Susania and Kisty are brothers and sisters who preceded her in death.  The brothers and sisters who survive are:  Richard Hamrick, of Pleasant Corners, Ohio and Miss Harriett Hamrick, Savena Hamrick, Mrs. J. M. Pringle, Mrs. Cora Crane and Mrs. Mary Sayre, all of Ripley.  [Betty Kessel McIntyre obit collection]
