Information: Etta Jane Hamon, 85, of 236 Second Ave., Ripley, died June 26, 1987, in Jackson General Hospital, following a brief illness.  She was born in Jonesville, Va., a daughter of the late James and Mary Price Cooper.  She was a homemaker and a Methodist.  She is survived by two daughters, Opal Meadows of Ripley and Mary Nellie Kiser of Evans; seven grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Montague B. Hamon, and one son.  Services were held Sunday at Parsons Funeral Home, Ripley, with the Rev. James Pinkerton officiating.   Burial in Goshen Cemetery.  (Betty Kessel McIntyre)
