Information:                 Funeral services for Dr. David Lee Hamon, 58 year old veterinarian of Ripley, were held from the EUB Church here Friday afternoon with the Rev. Roy W. Fisher officiating and the burial was in the Pine Hill Cemetery.  Dr. Hamon, who had been in poor health for some time, died suddenly at his home here at noon on Wednesday.  He had practiced his profession for many years and was widely known throughout this and adjoining counties.  He was the son of Mrs. Arena Hamon of Kenna and the late Joseph P. Hamon.  Surviving, in addition to his mother, are his wife, Mrs. Margaret Hackney Hamon; three sons, George Hamon of Charleston and Gene and David Hamon, both of Ripley; four daughters, Mrs. Ruby Duff, Mrs. Opal Lively and Mrs. Helen Harper, all of Charleston, and Mrs. Ada Patterson of Navarre, Ohio; three brothers, Ova and Guy Hamon, both of Ripley, and Glenn Hamon of Bastrop, Louisiana, and three sisters, Mrs. Lilly Skeen and Mrs. Hattie Jordan, both of Ripley, and Mrs. Iva Parsons of Kenna.  (Betty Kessel McIntyre obit collection)
