Information: MOTHER OF EX-SHERIFF HAMILTON SLEEPS IN MONTE VISTA CEMETERY - Mrs. Melissa Hamilton, mother of ex-Sheriff, W. W. Hamilton, of this city, was buried at Monte Vista Park cemetery, following the funeral services, which were held at the home of Mr. Hamilton on Wallace street, last Wednesday. Mrs. Hamilton had been making her home with her son here since last August and had been in failing health for some time, but her condition became critical last Friday and the end came with her sons and daughters surrounding her bedside last Monday night at nine o'clock. Mrs. Hamilton was the widow of the late James M. Hamilton of Charleston, who preceded her to the grave by about ten years. Mrs. Hamilton was 77 years old at the time of her death and is survived by the following children: W. W. Hamilton of this city, John H. Hamilton of Charleston, and three daughters: Mrs. Oscar Spencer of Clemens, W. Va., Mrs. John W. Cook of Huntington and Miss Ersa Hamilton of Welch, W. Va. Mrs. Hamilton is mourned by a host of friends here and throughout southern West Virginia, and the sympathy of the people of Princeton is extended to ex-Sheriff Hamilton in his deep bereavement.
