Information: Mr. John Hamilton, G.A.R. veteran, residing at Cottageville, WV., answered the final trumpet call on Tuesday morning.  Mr. Hamilton was 70 years of age, a highly respected man, a gentle hearted christian man who was held in high esteem and respected by his associates.  His wife and adopted daughter and one brother survive.  The remains were interred at Flatwoods at 2 o'clock p.m. Wednesday.  (from the Betty Kessel McIntyre collection)
