  <p>Information: John Michael Halterman, 31, of Ripley, passed away Thursday, November 14, 2002, at home.  He was an employee of GS of WV in Silverton and a Baptist.  He attended Grace Gospel Church in Ripley.  Survivors include his daughter, Samantha Halterman; step-children, Natisha, Shelby and Corie Rhodes; mother and father, James and Helen Abner of Leon; sister, Peggy Mann of Ohio; brothers, Corbett Halterman of Teays Valley, James Abner, Jr. of Leon, Larry Abner of Tennessee, William Barnette of Georgia and Douglas Abner of Leon; and several aunts and uncles and nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.  Graveside services were held Monday, November 18, 2002 at the Abner Family Cemetery in Leon, with Pastor Pete Cobb officiating.</p>
