  <p>Information: Mrs. Violet Marie Halstead, 74, of Charleston, formerly of St. Albans, died Friday, Oct. 30, 1992 in St. Francis Hospital after a short illness.  She was a native of Romance.  She was a retired seamstress for Kelly&#39;s Men Shop, Charleston and was a Protestant.  She lived most of her life in the Kanawha Valley.  Surviving:  sons, Larry R. of Charleston, Ronald L. of Lynchburg, Va.; brothers, Carson Smith of Ripley; sisters, Lily Tignor of Sissonville, Edith Parsons of Charleston; two granddaughters.  Service was Monday at Good Shepherd Mortuary, South Charleston, with the Rev. Lloyd Humphreys officiating.  Burial was in Cunningham Memorial Park, St. Albans.</p>
