  <p>Information: Mrs. Peggy E. Halstead, 82, of Sonoma, Calif., died June 30 in a Sonoma convalescent hospital.  An eight year resident of Sonoma, she was a native of Ripley.  She was a former teacher in West Virginia and assisted the blind during World War II in job training rehabilitation.  She was a charter member and past matron of Eastern Star, South Charleston, and a member of the First Presbyterian Church, South Charleston.  Surviving: sons, Charles of Tulsa, Okla., Peter of Lynwood, Calif.; daughter, Mrs. Betty Gordon of Sonoma; sister, Elsa Jenkins of Charleston; brother, Daniel D. Riley of West Palm Beach, Fla.; 11 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.  Graveside service was July 2 at Mountain Cemetery.</p>
