Information: Mildred Elliott Hall, 89, of Ripley, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 21, 2012 at Jackson General Hospital. She was born October 6, 1922, daughter of the late Jonah and Jessie Shinn Elliott. She was a lifelong homemaker, member of the Calvary United Church and the Ripley Woman's Club. Surviving daughter, Ann (Orville) Sayre of Ripley; Grandchildren, Lori (George) Shuller of St. Lewis, MO, Tammy (Sean) of Ripley, and James (fiancee Betsy) Sayre of Ripley; Great-grandchildren, Ian Banks, Trae Shuller, Callen Banks, Jala Sayre and Jaden Sayre. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mildred was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, James W. ""Bus"" Hall in August, 2010 as well as five brothers and six sisters. Funeral services were Sunday, January 22, 2012 at 4 p.m. at Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley. Rev. Charles Hicks and Pastor David Fields officiated. Interment followed at the Fairview Cemetery, Given. Friends call at the funeral home two hours prior to the service on Sunday. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Mildred can be made to the Calvary Methodist Church, Ripley.
