Information: Funeral services were held Saturday at the Fairplain Union Church at Fairplain, for Harold L. Hall, 47, of Route 1, Staats Mill. Hall died Wednesday after suffering injuries while at work at the Union Carbide Corp. plant in Charleston. The Rev. William Sullivan and the Rev. Bobbie L. Woods officiate with burial in Fairplain Cemetery. According to reports, Hall was repairing the brakes of a fork lift truck when the fatality occurred. He died shortly after being taken to Thomas Memorial Hospital. He was born in Jackson County, a son of Adley W. Hall of Ripley and the late Jessie Harpold Hall, and he had been employed by Union Carbide since 1948. He was a veteran of World War II and a member of the Fairplain Union Church. Survivors in addition to his father include his widow, Mrs. Ruth Stalnaker Hall; three sons, Michael K. Hall, Given, Kenneth and Jeffrey Harold Hall, both of Staats Mills; one daughter, Mrs. Karen Parsons, Dunbar; three brothers, James W. Hall, Ripley, Wade Hall, Silverton, William O. Hall, Ohio; two sisters, Mrs. Betty Skeens, Ripley, Mrs. Gay Casto, Charleston and one granddaughter.
