Information: Lloyd Glenn ""Scratch"" Gump, 86, of Cottageville, Jackson County WV, passed away May 22, 2012 at his home.  He was born Januray 4, 1926 in Fairview WV, a son of the late John Wesley and Hazel Gertrude (Jones) Gump. His wife of 51 years, Dema Rae Gump, a brother, John Gump, and sisters, Betty Chevrount and Jean Williams, also preceded him in death.  He was a World War II United States Army veteran, a former coal miner, a retired shipping tallyman from Kaiser Aluminum, Ravenswood, and was a member of the United Steelworkers Union, Local #5668.  He was a member and past master of Cottageville Lodge #54, AF & AM, a Scottish Rite Mason, a former member of the Jackson County Fox Chasers Association, and member of the Cottageville United Methodist Church.    Survivors include his son and his wife, Kenneth G. and Sharon Gump of Cottageville; daughters, Sherre K. McClellan of Ripley; sister, June Eddy of Fairview; grandchildren, Kendra Stewart, Jason Gump, Jami (Robert Hager) McClellan, and Trent (Hope) McClellan; and three great-grandchildren.  Service was 11 am Friday, May 25, 2012, at Casto Funeral Home Chapel, Evans WV, with the Rev. Gerald Sayre officiating.  Burial followed in Jackson County Memory Gardens, Cottageville, with Masonic graveside rites.  Visitation was from 6 to 8 pm Thursday at the funeral home.  Email condolences may be sent to castofh@gmail.com.
