Information: Funeral services were held for Ripley High School student Joseph Allen Green, who died instantly in a single-car accident near Sandyville.  The high school sophomore was an outstanding athlete, participating in football, basketball and baseball programs.  He was voted ""Mr. Freshman"" by his classmates for the 1985 homecoming activities.  Green is survived by his mother Joann Bowyer Green of Sandyville, maternal grandmother, Louise Bowyer of Hughes Creek; paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Maywood Green of Cedar Grove.  Burial was in the Ward Cemetery, Cedar Grove.
