Information: Mrs. Ada Blanche Smith Green, former resident of Ravenswood, died after a month's illness at Akron, Ohio. Mrs. Green, who would have been 82 years old in July was born in Ravenswood, the daughter of Everett C. Smith and Harriet Wright Smith. She graduated from Randolph-Macon Women's College in Lynchburg, Va., and taught in private schools in Raleigh and Memphis. In 1908, she was married by the Rt. Rev. George Peterkin, first bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of West Virginia, to Joseph Smith Green of Ravenswood. Mr. and Mrs. Green lived in Lewistown, Pa., until the death of Mr. Green in 1926. Mrs. Green then resided with her son, David, in Baltimore and more recently with a daughter, Josephine Green Martin, in Hudson, O. She is survived by two children; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Interment was in the Ravenswood Cemetery.
