Information: L. Blanche Mills Gorrell, 92, of Ravenswood died Thursday in Ravenswood Village Care Center after a long illness.  She was born on March 31, 1897, in Murraysville, a daughter of the late William and Mary Ellen Mills.  She was a school teacher in Jackson and Wood counties.  She and her husband ran a gas station and grocery store in the 1940s.  She was a 35-year member of the Rebekkah Lodge and a member of the American Legion 118.  She was also a member of North United Methodist Church in Ravenswood and the R.S.V.P. and Jackson County Senior Citizens.  She served as a midwife in Jackson County and retired from Click's Department Store at the age of 74.  She is survived by one son, William H. Gorrell Jr. of Parkersburg; three daughters, Maralee Cogar of Milton, Phyllis E. Gentry of Ravenswood and Ruth Rhodes of Ravenswood; three brothers, Charles W. Mills of Newell, William Arthur Mills of Parkersburg and Welson Mills of Parkersburg; 25 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.  Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday at North United Methodist Church in Ravenswood with the Rev. Donald Pringle officiating.  Burial will be in the Ravenswood Cemetery.  Friends may call from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. today.
