Information:                 Funeral services were held at the home Sunday for Mrs. Mary Alice Good, 89, who died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Asbury Good, at Romance on Wednesday and the burial followed in the family cemetery.  Rev. D. C. “Dutch” Guthrie officiated at the service.  She was the daughter of Ribrum and Rebecca Booth Whited.  She was born July 20, 1860 at Walton, Roane County and departed this life April 6, 1949.  She married Perry S. Good in 1879, he preceded her in death on Sept. 1, 1935.  Survivors are three sons, Oakey Good of Countsville and Elbin and Virgil Good, both of Ewington, Ohio; a step-son, Alfie of Fletcher; four other daughters, Mrs. Dora Ray of Kentuck, Mrs. Ninnie Parker of Countsville, Octa Good of Romance, Mrs. Leata Tolley of Sandyville and Mrs. Eva Boggs of Jodie; 42 grandchildren, 76 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren; six brothers, Ike, Edward and James Whited, all of Walton, John Whited of Spencer, Ezra Whited of Gettysburg, Pa., and Don Whited of Cincinnati, Ohio.  One daughter, Eura Good, preceded her in death on April 2, 1946.  One brother and one sister also preceded her in death.  (Betty Kessel McIntyre obit collection)
