  <p>Information:      Death last Friday claimed one of the oldest residents of Jackson County at his home at Romance.  He was George Huston Godbey who died at the age of 93 years.  He had been in failing health for several weeks and death had been expected.  The funeral service was held on Sunday afternoon at the Pleasant View church with the Rev. Jack Slater in charge.  The Parsons funeral directors were in charge of arrangements.  Mr. Godbey was born in Roane county on July 19, 1857, a son of the late William Jasper and Hanna Margaret Godbey and as a boy during the Civil War days of that trying period in the nation&#39;s history.   He married Ellen Gillenwater, who survives him and who is 91 years of age.  They celebrated their seventy-third wedding anniversary recently.  He was a member of the Adventist church and had lived in the Romance section of Jackson county for many years.  In addition to the widow he is survived by a son, Everette Godbey of Romance, and a daughter, Mrs. Malissa Skeen of Kenna. </p>
