  <p>Information: Desler ""Buck"" Godbey, 49, of Advent, died Thursday, Dec. 29, 1988, of a gunshot wound, police said.  Ron Edward Godbey, 19, the victim&#39;s son, has been charged with murder in the death.  The elder Godbey was born in Kentuck and was a member of the Ironworkers Union.  Also surviving:  wife, Betty Lee Godbey; daughters, Debra Rucker of South Carolina, Elizabeth Freshour of Advent, Virginia Fleming of Sissonville; mother, Susan Godbey of Ripley; father, Oley Godbey of Kentuck; brother, Dwight Godbey of Kentuck; sisters, Betty Knopp of Liverpool, Melba Counts of Rockcastle, Judy Casto of Kenna, Opal Casto of Navarre, Ohio, Nancy Jarvis of Canton, Ohio, Audrey Legg of Beach City, Ohio, Loudonna Parsons of Spencer, Nellie Parsons of Kenna; four grandchildren.  Services were Saturday in Parsons Funeral Home, Ripley, with the Rev. Arnold Shaffer officiating.  Burial was in Skeens-Counts Cemetery, Kentuck.</p>
