  <p>Information: Bethel Gillenwater, 83, of Ravenswood, departed this life Sunday, July 28, 2002, at his home.  He was born October 9, 1918, in Leet WV, a son of the late Lee and Lottie Duty Gillenwater.  He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, having served four years in the Phillipines.  He was formerly employed for 13 years with Merrill Coal Company and was retired, after 25 years, from Kaiser Aluminum & Chemical Corporation, Ravenswood Works.  He was a member of United Steelworkers of America, Local #5668.  Survivors include his loving wife of 55 years, Ruth Lambert Gillenwater; one loving, caring daughter, Patricia Ann McCoy of Ravenswood; daughter-in-law, Jill (Tim) Tidd of Millwood; brother, O&#39;Dell (Adilene) Gillenwater of Reynoldsburg OH; sisters, Ruby Ferrell of Chapmanville WV and Alma (Ray) Miller of Spurlocksville WV; sister-in-law, Magdalene (Herman) Lambert of Brunswick OH; grandchildren, William Brett McCoy, Jeramie Shane Gillenwater and Nicole Dawn Gillenwater Hayes; great-granddaughters, Whitney, Jessica, Laken and Kiera McCoy and Madyson Vail Hayes.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Bethel Gillenwater, Jr. Funeral service will be held today (Wednesday, July 31), at 1 p.m. at the Casto Funeral Home, Ravenswood, with Rev. Darrell Johnson officiating.  Burial will follow in Ravenswood Cemetery.</p>
