  <p>Information: Mrs. Maggie Carez Balis, age 74 years, died at her home on Turkey Fork Road near Sandyville, Sunday evening about 7:00 o&#39;clock following a few days illness of pneumonia.  Mrs. Balis was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Joe Carez.  She was born March 15, 1870 and was married to Rufus Balis on March 15, 1891.  He preceded her in death a few years ago, also an infant daughter, Mary Brazillian Balis.  She leaves one son, Samuel Edwin Balis, and one grandchild; one brother, Frank Carez, of Sandyville; two half-brothers, Omer and Charles Carez, of Parkersburg and a number of nieces and nephews.  Funeral services will be held on Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 o&#39;clock at the Church of Christ near Odaville, with Ford Funeral Home in charge.  Burial will be in the church cemetery.
