Information: John Henry Baldwin, 74, of Ripley, died Monday, June 10, 2002, at Jackson General Hospital in Ripley. He was born May 26, 1928, in Kanawha County, a son of the late John William and Winnie Jones Baldwin. He was a retired employee of Pepsi Cola Bottling Company, with 28 years of service. He served as Manager of Bottling for five years with South Atlantic Corporation (Canada Dry) in Jacksonville Fl, with a total of 44 1/2 years in the bottling industry. He was also a member of Teamsters Local #175 for 25 years. He is survived by his wife, Elma Seabolt Baldwin of Ripley; sons, John K. Baldwin of Amherst OH, and Danny L. Baldwin of Ripley; one daughter, Susan E. Ware of Charleston; two brothers, Elmer and Jim Baldwin; two sisters, Marie Blackmon and Martha McLane; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held today (Wednesday, June 12), at 2:00 p.m. at Parsons-Waybright Funeral Home Chapel in Ripley. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Jackson County Hospice or the American Cancer Society.
