  <p>Information: Herbert Clinton Garrett, 64, of Ripley, died Thursday, Dec. 22, 1988, in Memorial Division, CAMC, after a long illness.  He was retired from the State Department of Highways.  He attended Grace Gospel Church, Ripley.  He was a Navy veteran of World War II.  Surviving:  wife, Marie Garrett; son, Dean of Ripley; daughters, Renaee Jordan of Fairplain, Deloris Chacon of Aurora, Colo., Regina Garrett of Ripley; sisters, Mrs. Alma Seabolt of Elkview, Mrs. Illa Taylor of Akron, Ohio, Mrs. Bernice Bird of Texas; four grandchildren.  Service was held at Parsons Funeral Home, Ripley, with the Rev. Jack Berry officiating.  Burial was in Pine Hill Cemetery, Ripley.</p>
