Information: Funeral services for Rev. Harry S. Garrett, 57 year old minister of the Methodist Church and the father of Mrs. Howard L. Kerwood, of Ripley, were held Saturday afternoon from the Bethany Methodist Church in Parkersburg and interment was in a cemetery in that city.  Rev. Garrett, who had been in ill health for several years, died at his home shortly after 2 o'clock Tuesday mornng.  Ill health had kept Rev. Garrett inactive in the ministry for several years.  He was formerly the pastor of the Epworth church in Ripley and at one time was a member of the county court of Jackson county.  He had been in the ministry for 40 years and was a native of Kentucky.  He is survived by the widow, and the following children: Harold E. Garrett and Harry D. Garrett, at home, Samuel W. Garrett, of Parkersburg, Mrs. H.L. Kerwood, of Ripley, and Miss Virginia Garrett, at home.  Also surviving are four brothers, and one sister: Samuel, of Miami; John and Saymore, of Prestonburg, Ky; Medley Garrett, of Dwale, Ky, and Mrs. Mildred O'Dell, of Prestonburg.  Two grandchildren also survive.
