Information: Mrs. H. S. Garrett, 88, of Parkersburg, the mother of Eugenia Kerwood of Ripley, died at her residence Tuesday evening, where she lived with her grandchildren, Bill and Pam Casto. She was born April 18, 1889, a daughter of the late William and Lucy Perry Anderson.  She was a member of the Bethany United Methodist Church.  She lived in Parkersburg since 1935.  Other survivors are three sons, Harold (Red) Garrett, of Melbourne, Fla., Sam W. of Avon Park, Fla., and Harry D. of Key Largo, Fla.; daughter, Mrs. Howard (Virginia) Vandine of Parkersburg; one sister, Mrs. Gladys Coleman of Huntington; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband, the Rev. H. S. Garrett, who was a former pastor of the Epworth Methodist Church here and a member of the Jackson County Court; and by one brother, and one sister.  Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at the Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg, with the Dr. Kenneth Ball officiating.  Burial will be in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery.  Friends may call at the funeral home.
