Information: Addie Mae (Kiser) Garrett was born 28 March 1889, at Fletcher, and departed this life December 4, 1943, aged 54-8-8.  She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. J. P. Kiser.  She was united in marriage to Elijah O. Garrett on 18 July 1909, and to this union was born three sons, all of whom survive:  Russell Garrett, U. S. Army, stationed in Kentucky, Donald Garrett, U. S. Army, stationed in Florida, and George Garrett of Dunbar.  Also surviving are her husband, E. O. Garrett, and two brothers, Reuben Perry Kiser, U. S. Navy, stationed in Missouri and William Denis Kiser of Gay, and other relatieves.  She was converted to Christianity at the Goshen Baptist Church and has remained a devout and faithful follower of the christian ideals.  She was a faithful wife and a devoted mother.  Funeral services were held at the Goshen church at Kentuck Tuesday afternoon and burial was in the family cemetery.  Mrs. Garrett died in a Charleston hospital after a short illness.    (Betty Kessel McIntyre)
