Information:      Shelby Ayward Garnes, 80, of Kenna passed away Sunday Feb. 26, 2006, at VA Medical Center, Huntington, following a long illness.  He was born Aug. 23, 1925, at Charleston, a son of the late George Washington and Betty Monday Garnes.  He was a U.S. Army veteran and was an auto body and paint man.  He is survived by six sons and their wives, Terry and Leona Garnes, Teddy and Mary Ann Garnes and Tracy and Kathy Garnes, all of Kenna, Tommy and Nancy Garnes of Ripley, Tony and Kendra Garnes of Leesville, La., and Timmy and Connie Garnes of Gretna, La.; grandchildren, Todd and Rachel Garnes of Kenna, Jarrod of Teasy Valley, Tyler of Allens Fork, Casey and Carrie of Kenna, Darren and Ethan of Kenna, Miranda and April Bussey of Ripley, Brian and Cindy Bussey of Chicago, Ill., Ressa and Cassaundra of Leesville, La.; great-grandchilden, Victoria of Allens Fork, Branson of Chicago, Ill., and Perry of Kenna; sister, Helen Boggess of Kenna, and brother, Heber Garnes of Sissonville.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Reba Faye Gandee Garnes.  Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Thursday, March 2, at the Parsons-Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley, with Pastor Brian Bussey officiating.  Burial with military rites provided by Jackson County Veteran Groups will be at the Stonelick Cemetery, Kenna.  Friends may call Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
