Information: Mrs. Callie M. Hunt Garnes, daughter of James and Sarah Kilgore, was born March 7, 1865 in Pennsylvania.  She passed from this life to the life beyond from her home in Dunbar on Sunday morning July 21, 1940, at the age of 75 years, 4 months, and 14 days.  She was the last survivor of her father's family.  She was married to Warren Hunt on April 5, 1883.  Death took him from her side in 1916.  To this union were born three daughters and three sons: Mrs. J.C. Fisher of Dunbar, Mrs. W.W. Ranson, of Liberty, Mrs. C.H. Fisher of Columbus, Ohio, Ralph E. Hunt of Peterstown, W.Va., O.DeWitt and H. Sheldon Hunt of Dunbar.  Also surviving is a foster daughter, Mrs. Howard Carney of Dunbar and 35 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.  She was married to James L. Garnes on Jan. 24, 1920.  He with the children and grandchildren named above and a host of relatives and friends mourn their loss today.  Funeral services were held in the Dunbar First United Brethren Church and the Rev. K.J. Scott, of the U.B. church, read the scripture and offered prayer.  Brief services were also held at the Emma Chapel in Jackson county where interment was made.
