  <p>Information:                 Funeral Services for Andrew Jackson Garnes, 83, were held from the home on Eighteen Mile Creek near Emma Chapel on Thursday with the Rev. Vaughn Fisher in charge and the burial followed in the family cemetery.  He died on Wednesday after being in failing health for some time.  Mr. Garnes was a son of the late George and Nancy (Crane) Garnes and was born Nov. 29, 1865, and at the time of death was 83 years, 9 months and 1 day of age.  He was united in marriage to Nancy Clendenin on April 18, 1895, and to this union two sons and one daughter were born.  The wife and daughter, Maude, preceded him in death.  He leaves to mourn his loss two sons, Claude of Liberty and Forrest of Ripley; a sister, Mary Long of South Charleston, eleven grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.  (Betty Kessel McIntyre obit collection)</p>
