Information: Balch, Samuel W.                 Funeral services for Pfc. Samuel W. Balch, son of Mrs. Eliza Balch of Evans and the late D. O. Balch, will be held from the Creston Church this (Wednesday) afternoon and the burial will be in the church cemetery with full military honors.  Pfc. Balch was killed Sept. 16, 1944 in Germany.  Before entering the service in 1943 he was employed by the Boyer Town Casket Company of Columbus, Ohio.  Pfc. Balch was awarded the Purple Heart, the Combat Infantry Medal and the Good Conduct Medal.  Surviving besides his mother are his wife, Mrs. Avis Baker Balch; five sisters, Mrs. Porter Nichol of Charleston, Mrs. Kenneth Wood of Huntington, Mrs. Nellie Chambers and Mrs. Marie Fink of Columbus, Ohio and Mrs. Bonnie McDade of Evans; two brothers, Warren of Pt.
