Information: Homer Smith Gandee, 89, of Fairplain died at the Kanawha Valley Hospital after an extended illness.  He was born April 29, 1894, the son of the late George and Josephine Parsons Gandee.  He was a member of the Fairplain Union Church and a retired truck driver.  Survivors: sons, Jerald and Carroll, both of Ripley, Edwin of Faiplain; daughters, Mildred Miller of Ripley and Eloise Isner of Elkins; sisters, Gale Barney of Fairplain and Mattie Yoho of Grantsville; 16 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Dollie Chase Gandee and one son, Charles Robert Gandee.  Burial was in Fairplain Cemetery.
