Information: Ada L. Gandee, 83 of Mineral Wells died at her residence Sunday morning, Oct. 15, 1989.  She was born in Jackson County, a daughter of the late Granville and Carie Battin Archer.  She was a member of the Mount Zion Baptist Church of Mineral Wells.  She was employed by the Dils Brothers Department Store and Wood County Board of Education as a cook.  She was a member of PMBS Fire Dept. Ladies Auxiliary and had helped with the Senior Citizens Building at Mineral Wells until her death.  She is survived by her husband, Coy E. ""Bill"" Gandee; two sons, Larry Gandee and Paul Gandee both of Mineral Wells; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by one daughter, four brothers and five sisters.  Services were held Tuesday at the Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg with the Rev George Lake and the Rev. Tom Whaley officiating.  Burial was in the Ravenswood Cemetery.
