Information: Retired Ripley city police officer, Hobert Leroy ""Pop"" Fridley, 74, of 212 1/2 Straight St., Ripley, died Monday in Holzer Medical Center, Gallipolis Ohio, after a long illness. He was retired from Broughton Dairy and a member of the Ripley Baptist Temple. Survivors include wife, Cuba Fridley; two sons, Lester Fridley of Weirton, Raymond Fridley of Ripley; three daughters, Mrs. Susie Hall of Kenna, Mrs. Letha Robinson of Evans, Mrs. Evelyn Davis of Mason; four brothers, Oldia Fridlay, Ray Fridley and Nimrod Fridley, all of Pt. Pleasant, Don Fridley of Bloomingburg, Ohio; four sisters, Mrs. Lona Jones, Mrs. Della Rice, Mrs. Stella Smith and Mrs. Erma Workman, all of Pt. Pleasnat; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Ripley Baptist Temple with the Rev. Brad Winkler officiating. Burial will be in Fairplain Cemetery. Friends may call after 4 p.m. today (Wednesday) at Parsons Funeral Home.
