  <p>Information:   Clarence Ferd French, 78, of Nitro, died Sunday in Thomas Memorial Hospital after a one year illness.      He was a retired welder with the Marietta Concrete Corp. and a member of the National Grange in Bartlett, Ohio.      Service was held at the Cooke and Pauley Funeral Home in Nitro with the Rev.Kenneth Ball officiating.  Burial was in Sunset Memorial Park, South Charleston.      Surviving; wife, Bessie Hickman French; son, Arthur of Nitro; brothers, Leal of Given, Delbert of South Charleston, Roy of Dunbar; sisters, Mrs. Faye Bowles, Mrs. Lola Stone of Ripley, Mrs. Edith Moore of Akron, Ohio, Mrs.Clara Atkinson of Columbus, Ohio, Mrs.Bernice McGrew of Charleston; two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.</p>
