  <p>Information: Mrs. Bessie Hickman French, 94 of Americare Putnam, formerly of Nitro, died Sunday, Feb. 4, 1990 in Putnam General Hospital, Teays Valley of an apparent heart attack.  She was a member of St. Paul&#39;s United Methodist Church, Nitro, Nitro Senior Citizens and the Rebekah Lodge.  She was a native of Given, Jackson County and was a former member of Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church, Jackson County.  Surviving:  daughter-in-law, Bertha French of Nitro; grandson, William R. French of St. Albans; granddaughter, Dorothy Simkins of Marlinton; five great-grandchildren.  Service was held Tuesday at Cooke-Pauley Funeral Home, Nitro with the Rev. Marvan G. Frame officiating.  Burial was in Sunset Memorial Park.  The family suggests memorials to be made to St. Pauls United Methodist Church Memorial Fund, Nitro, W.Va.</p>
