Information:   Charles H. Frederick, 83, of Smithville, died at his residence Friday morning.  He was the brother of Virginia Miller of Ripley.   He was born in Calhoun County, a son of the late George Washington and Mary Jane Criss Frederick.  He was employed as a machinist and welder in the shipyards of Los Angeles, Calif., for many years, and was affiliated with the United Methodist Church.   Additional survivors include his wife of 62 years, Rettie Wilson Frederick; one son, Charles Frederick Jr. of Parkersburg; three daughters, Leona Law of Vernonia, Ore. Sharon Morrison of Smithville, and Karen Wilson of Jasonville, Ind.; one brother Frank Frederick of Big Springs; 20 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.   He was preced in death by two daughters.   The funeral was held on Monday at Raiguel Funeral Home in Harrisville with  the Rev. Lawson Whipkey oficiating and burial in Ellenboro Masonic Cemetery.
