  <p>Information: Funeral services for Mrs. Eva May Franklin, 77 year old widow of the late Samuel K. Franklin, were held at Simpson Chapel Church Sunday and burial was in the family plot in the cemetery nearby.  The Rev. J. W. Idleman had charge of the service.  Mrs. Franklin died on Thursday at her Medina home after an illness of some length.  Eva May Franklin was born June 28, 1862, in Noble Co., Ohio, and departed this life Feb. 1, 1940, age 77 years, 7 months and 3 days.  She was united in marriage to Samuel K. Franklin on March 24, 1881 and with her husband moved to Jackson county in 1883.  To this union five children were born, two sons and three daughters.  Her husband and one daughter preceded her in death. She leaves to mourn their loss, two sons, John B. Franklin, of Waverly, W. Va. and Pearl W. of Belleville, W. Va.; two daughters, Mrs. Ray Stallings, of Belleville, and Lena Franklin, at home; one brother, Homer Dailey of Parkersburg; one sister, Mary Pryor of Belleville; 14 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
