Information: DIES TUESDAY IN HOSPITAL - Funeral services for Earl Franklin, 54-year-old resident of Silverton, who died on Tuesday, June 11, at the St. Joseph's hospital in Parkersburg following a two weeks' illness were held Thursday afternoon at the Palmer funeral home in Ravenswood. Rev. C. E. Ruble, pastor of the Silverton U. B. church officiated. Interment was in the Ravenswood cemetery. Mr. Franklin was born at Silverton on August 20, 1888 and lived his entire life in that community. He was a son of Monroe and Maria Templeton Franklin. On April 7, 1920 he was united in marriage to Hazel Suck, who survives. Besides his wife, the deceased is survived by three daughters, Jessie, Bessie and Carol Franklin, and five sons, Lawrence, Gail, Clarence, Glen and Charles, all at home, a sister, Mrs. Bessie Wagner of North Lawrence, Ohio; and two brothers, W. E. Franklin of Silverton and Clinton Franklin of Canal Fulton, Ohio. Those from a distance here for the funeral were: Mr. and Mrs. Charles Curry of Parkersburg, Mr. and Mrs. John Curry of Neville Island, Pa., Mrs. Clint Franklin and family, Mr. and Mrs. Wagner of Canal Fulton, Ohio, Mr. and Mrs. Orville Davis and daughter, Beulah, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Suck and son, Billie of Charleston, and Miss Frances Suck of Parkersburg.
